I know it's a little odd for me to post so frequently, but I had to get this one out there.
Yesterday morning, Mom and Dad was so proud of me. I can tell they were proud because their eyes got a little glossy when Mom told Dad what I did. Mind you, this was first thing in the morning - Dad was in a morning stupor and brushing his teeth.
Ok, enough stalling...for the first time, I was able to consistently identify animals in a book and say their names out loud! I have a book about colors. It's a simple book, but entertaining. On the main each page, a color is listed. I can then pull a large tab and an animal appears that matches the color. For example, on the 'purple' page, there's a tab with a purple butterfly. When I pulled the tab, I said "butt-ty" which means butterfly - I promise. I could then identify the "tiger" when it came up, and same for the "doddy" (a.k.a doggie). To make sure this wasn't a fluke, Mom and I flipped through the book later in the day, and I did it again - of course I did it again. I rock!
Hehe. That's it for now. Time for more reading!

So many words
People ask my folks, "what's the little one saying now-a-days?" The answer is "what ever you say!" That's right, I'm a little mimicker. Here's a list of some of my favorite words to repeat (with some translations from Dad):
- "dare go" > "there ya go"
- "duck oo" > "thank you"
- "del co " > "welcome"
- "bum bum bum" > "bumblebee"
- "geesh" > "geesh"
- "ah dove" > "I love [you]"
- "torta" > "tortilla"
Hehe. Talking is fun. One of my Dad's co-workers said, "don't teach them how to talk. Once they start, they don't stop!" After considering this comment, I think I'm going to keep talking :-)
Until next time, "ba bye!"
