New Friends

Good morning everyone. I was in a typing mood today, so I thought it'd be a good time for another post. And quite frankly, a lot has happened!

I'd like to first introduce you to my new friend, Claire. She makes some strange sounds, but she's incredibly fascinating. I love to stare at her and watch. She's a lot smaller than I am right now, but Mom and Dad say that she won't that small for long. She eats for an hour at a time! I think that she was tired of being in her Mom's belly and wanted some real food. I know that was a strong motivator for me :-). We've had lots of fun visiting with Claire and I can't wait to teach her so many cool things - like how to find her feet, or sit up.

My other new friends are called rice cereal and puréed bananas. That's right - I'm eating solids baby! They aren't "solids" in the strictest sense of the word. They're more like goupy-goodness. And boy does it make a mess. It gets all over my mouth, chin, neck, and once it even landed in my eye brow. My Dad still can't figure out how. For those of you who are just starting solids, let me give you a little hint - don't exhale when the spoon is in your mouth. If you have to sneeze during this time period, hold it in, because the mess is incredible. If can't hold it in, sneeze with all you got because it's actually pretty funny.

Last but not least - my Dad is going to use his toes tomorrow and run in his first ever 5k running race. I'll be on the sidelines with Mom rooting for him. And when I can't see him, I plan on playing with my toes ;-).
