Lions, and Tigers, and Bunnies?

As you all know, Easter 2008 has come and gone. This was a particularly cool Easter because...well...it was my first one :-). I had an awesome time coloring eggs with my Mom and Dad. We bought an egg-coloring package that came with three colors: blue, yellow, and red. However, Dad was able to dunk eggs in more than one color to get a whole new set of colors. I'm still trying to figure out how this magical process works. I'll let you all know when I get to the bottom of it.

Later that day, we went to Nonna and Papa's house. My Great Aunt and Uncle were there too, which was fun. Everyone feasted well on a four-course, traditional Italian/Kansas meal. I, of course, enjoyed a lovely array of liquefied squash, bananas, and rice cereal. I have to admit, I was a little envious of their sweet smelling spread. Maybe next year ;-).

So that was the "Bunnies" portion of this post. Regarding Lions and Tigers, I enjoyed my first trip to the zoo today. I gotta tell you, the Tropical Discovery portion of the zoo was amazing. They have the best assortment of ceiling fans I've ever seen. All you have to do is look up from all the watery, lizard, snake stuff, through the trees, and about 40 feet in the air you can see the spinning beauties in all their glory. I highly recommend visiting this section of the zoo.

I guess there were some other things their like lions, giraffes, and elephants at the zoo. They didn't move a whole lot and blended in well with their surroundings. It was kind of hard to see them. Perhaps this is some kind of survival mechanism that they're demonstrating - who knows. There were some neon fish, however, that we pretty cool to watch. A bunch of older kids kept screaming "There's Nemo!". Dad promised to clarify what the heck they're talking about when I'm older.

Until next time, keep counting those toes!
